Warranty and safety

1. Warranty

Fuegolo gives a 2-year warranty from delivery on every product, covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.

The warranty does not cover:

• wear parts, such as glass, seals, wicks and ceramic wool;
• damage caused by misuse, accidents, transport or handling after delivery;
• installation not carried out in line with the installation manual and local rules;
• repairs or modifications made by anyone not authorized by Fuegolo, including opening the gas valve;
• use of a fuel, gas type or gas pressure not approved for the appliance.

If a claim is accepted, Fuegolo will repair or replace the defective part. If that is not possible within a reasonable time, Fuegolo will offer a price reduction or a refund for the affected product. Removal, refitting, travel and transport costs are not covered unless agreed in writing.

Spare parts and repair service are available for 10 years after a model stops being made.

How to claim: write to info@fuegolo.com with the proof of purchase (invoice), the model and serial number, photos of the fault and a short description. Private buyers who bought from a dealer or installer should contact their seller first; Fuegolo will help where needed.

This warranty is free of charge.

2. Product documents

Fuegolo makes gas fireplaces and gas burners (FGH1, FGH2, FGH3, FGP, BGP) and bioethanol fireplaces and burners (FEH1, FEH2, FEH3, FEP, BEP, BES).

Declarations of conformity and test documentation for each model are available on request. Write to info@fuegolo.com with the model reference.

Gas appliances must be installed by a qualified, authorized gas installer, in line with the installation manual and the rules of the country or region of installation.

3. Safe use: summary

This is a summary only. Always read and follow the full installation manual for your model.

Gas fireplaces and burners

• Installation, conversion and servicing by a qualified gas installer only, following the manual and local rules.
• Use only the gas type and pressure shown on the data plate.
• Before lighting, check that there is no smell of gas around the appliance, including near the floor.
• If you smell gas: do not light any appliance, do not touch electrical switches or use a phone in the building, and call your gas supplier from a neighbor's phone. If you cannot reach them, call the fire department (112 in Europe).
• Do not open or repair the gas valve. If any part has been in water, have the controls replaced by a qualified technician before use.
• Turn the control knobs by hand only, never with tools.
• Keep flammable materials at least 50 cm (20 in) from the appliance.
• The glass and casing get very hot. Keep children, pets and furniture away.

Bioethanol fireplaces and burners

• Use only the bioethanol fuel specified by Fuegolo.
• Refill only when the flame is fully out and the burner has cooled for at least 20 minutes. Never pour fuel into an open flame or a hot burner, and do not overfill.
• Light with a long-reach lighter.
• Keep flammable materials at least 1 m (40 in) away and keep at least 2 m (80 in) from windows and curtains. Do not burn under overhanging items.
• Use only in well-ventilated rooms with the doors to adjacent rooms open. Avoid drafts. Do not cover the burner opening.
• Do not smoke while handling fuel. Store fuel in its original container, away from the living space and the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance for cooking or heating water.
• The burner stays hot after use. Wait at least 20 minutes before touching it.
